CHURCH STAFF

Pastor and Moderator of Session
    Thomas Sexton Logan, CP

Thomas came to St. Andrew Presbyterian as a scared college student invited to the campus fellowship meeting for dinner.  At the time, he had no idea that saying yes to a friend to join them for dinner at her church would change his life.  Since then, he became a member of the church, completed his degree in music, became a teacher, and found himself called to ministry.

Thomas has a degree in music from McNeese State University, a Career and Technical Education Teaching Certificate from Northwestern State University, and a Certificate of Christian Leadership in the Reformed Tradition from the University of Dubuque Theological Seminary.

'I am living proof that this church offers Acceptance, Restoration, and Purpose.' he says, 'The gift given to me by Christ Jesus through the members of this congregation can never be paid back, but if I can help anyone to feel the love, peace, and buttress that I feel in this church, then I will know that I have fulfilled Christ's calling for me."

Church Secretary
     Anita Duhon

Anita Duhon has been the secretary of St. Andrew Presbyterian Church for over 20 years, through thick and thin, the glue that  keeps us all together.

Her favorite part of working with church is the warmth and caring of the congregation of St. Andrew.

     Elisa Hevia

Elisa Hevia has been the music accompanist of St. Andrew Presbyterian Church Choir since 2021. She began her music career at the age of nine, under the tutelage of Professor Vivan Rodriguez at the Conservatory of Music in Maracaibo, Venezuela. In 2019, she accompanied Alfred M. Barbe High School’s Choir and Show Choir under the direction of Christopher Miller until 2021. She continued to pursue her passion for piano at McNeese State University, studying under Dr. Lina Morita, where she also participated in the McNeese Jazz Ensemble and Women’s Choir. She earned a Bachelor of Visual Arts degree and a minor in Piano Performance in 2025. Her favorite part of working at St. Andrew is the welcoming environment and the loving sense of community of every member of the church."

Choir Coordinator
     Kate Colby

Kate Colby is a Lake Charles native, a Christian seeking out a closer relationship to God, and a lifelong musician. She began her music career at the age of twelve, cantoring at various local Catholic churches. In late 2019, Kate first arrived at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, leading the music ministry through the COVID pandemic. After earning her degree in Music Education at McNeese State University, she departed for a short but fulfilling teaching career in Texas. She returned to her hometown in 2023, having decided to devote her life to her two passions: musical theatre and music ministry. When she is not leading the choir at St. Andrew, Kate can be found onstage with ACTS Theatre, building up the next generation of actors through music directing at CYT, or singing around the state with her friends in BonaVox. Kate has a loving and supportive husband (Wesley), a Cardigan Welsh corgi (Major), and a mischievous cat  (Arlo).

As of December 2025, She is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst at Mental Connections of SW here in Lake Charles, LA, and she spends her weekdays working to improve the quality of life for her clients.
