PCF, Presbyterian Campus Fellowship
is the home of this campus ministry operating at McNeese State University.  Although PCF is primarily operating at McNeese, the ministry is open to all college students, including those enrolled at SOWELA.

Current Events:

College Bible Study Group will meet every Monday, starting Monday, January 23rd. The group will meet in the Richardson Room at 6:00 p.m. The study will be from the book , Bad Girls of the Bible , by Liz Curtis Higgs. A light supper is also served at each meeting.

McNeese State University Leisure Learning Departmentwill be offering “Great Decisions 2012:  An International Relations Discussion Group.”  The topics for the 2012 discussions will be Middle  East Realignment, Promoting Democracy,  Mexican Cybersecurity; Exit from Iraq and Afghanistan; State of the Oceans;      and Indonesia Energy geopolitics. The discussion groups will be held in the Fellowship Hall of St. Andrew Presbyterian Church on Mondays from 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.   Cost is $75.00 single/$135.00 (with one book) for a couple if registered by January 16th.  After January 16th the cost is $85.00 single/$145.00 couple. Fall Study Hall, held December 6th, was attended by approximately 175 students and professors.  Check back for plans for Spring Study Hall.

 

 

Throughout the year, PCF sponsors many events for students:

  • STUDY HALL - Every semester, including in the summer, we sponsor a study hall just before final exams begin. During this study hall, there is tutoring available by professors and graduate students. Tutoring is in math and sciences.  We also provide a free meal with wonderful homemade desserts, and free childcare if you need some quiet time to study.  You can come and meet with a tutor, find a great place to study either alone or with friends, and enjoy dinner with your peers.
  • BIBLE STUDY - We meet weekly to study the Bible together.  The studies change each semester.  The time and date of the study will be posted near the beginning of the fall semester.  Along with good discussions, we share pizza/pasta and soft drinks.

  • DORM ADOPTION - PCF adopts Watkins Dorm each year.  We help with fall move-in and we supply ice-cold bottles of water on the Saturday move-in day.  During the year, we will host a BBQ for Watkins students.

  • McNEESE SUPPORT - St. Andrew hosts Leisure Learning classes and recitals for students in the McNeese Music Department.
