Ash Wednesday

A solemn, reflective service that marks the beginning of Lent and calls worshipers to repentance and renewed trust in God’s grace. It typically includes Scripture, confession, a brief sermon, and the imposition of ashes as a sign of human mortality and God’s mercy, often accompanied by simple music and sometimes the Lord’s Supper.

Maundy Thursday

Commemorates Jesus’ Last Supper and his commandment to love one another as he loved us. The service typically includes Scripture, preaching, the celebration of the Lord’s Supper, and often a symbolic act such as  the stripping of the chancel, emphasizing Christ’s self-giving love and the approaching darkness of Good Friday.

Christmas Cantata

A celebration of the birth of our Lord, Jesus Christ through music!  Featuring around 45 minutes of music and scripture, performed by the St. Andrew Presbyterian Choir and profession wind ensemble, this service is a wonderful example of the gifts that God has poured into each of us and how we can use those gifts to give glory to God.

Christmas Eve Candlelight Service

Celebrates the birth of Christ with Scripture readings, carols, prayer, and a sermon centered on the incarnation and God’s gift of light to the world. Near the end of the service, worshipers light candles and sing hymns such as “Silent Night,” symbolizing Christ’s light shining in the darkness and shared among the people.
