Presbyterian Kid's Club
All children are invited to join the pastor at 6 pm on Tuesday evenings on Zoom for a short lesson and discussion. Weekly lessons are emailed to parents/grandparents for their children to do during the week. If you'd like to receive the weekly mailing or if you'd like the link to join the pastor, please contact the church office. Youth – Faith Exploration
The youth are learning the core beliefs and values of the Christian faith, sharing ideas and experiences, wrestling with difficult questions, and growing spiritually. This group is being led by Amy Dunn and Eva LeBlanc. |
Adults
There is currently a Bible Study for men and women every other Monday evening which is led by Mary Lou Burke. This group is studying "Love Carved in Stone", a study of the ten commandments, by Rev. Eugenia Gamble.

The Mission Stitcher’s Group makes masks, quilts and craft projects which they offer for sale. 100% of the net proceeds go toward Mission outreach projects. Over $2000 a year is donated to various mission projects as a result of their efforts. Contact Phyllis Cagney, Mission Chairperson, or the church office for more information. This group is not meeting together until it is safe to do so.

Small Groups
Many Small Groups are being offered. For more information please contact the church office (477-6166) or contact the Small Group coordinator, Cathi Hoffpauir. Choir - Our Music Team meets with the choir each Thursday at 6:30 pm in the Sanctuary. We will grow together in the spirit through song. Mission Stitchers – Phyllis Cagney, Leader Meets every Friday afternoon in the Sewing room at the church. Provides support for members. Sews items to sell to benefit missions. Makes items to donate to members, non-members and missions. Church Ladies – Amy Dunn, Leader Monthly dinner group for ladies in their 40’s and 50’s. Meets the 1st Thursday of each month in individual homes. Opera Lovers – Mary Lou Burke, Leader A small group interested in hearing, viewing and learning more about opera. The group gathers from September through April twice a month on Saturdays. We meet at the Cinemark Theatre (behind the mall) at 12:00 pm to attend performances of live broadcasts from the Metropolitan Opera Co in New York. Following the broadcasts, the group goes to dinner to discuss the performances. Everyone is welcome. JOY Group (Just Older Youth) - Marilyn Dunn, Leader Support group for women age 60 and above. The place to meet will be announced and on the church calendar. The next meeting will be announced during worship service or you may call the office or check the website calendar. Men's Breakfast Men’s Breakfast is an ecumenical gathering on the third Saturday of the month at 8AM. Join the men of St. Andrew and others in the community for a wonderful breakfast and relevant, interesting guest speakers. The Men’s Breakfast is held in the Fellowship Hall of Greater St. Mary’s Missionary Baptist Church , 1801 Second Avenue, Lake Charles. Check the church calendar for upcoming breakfast dates. Women's Group and Friday Special Activities The Women’s Group supports several local missions (The Lord’s Place Shelter for Homeless Men, The Potter’s House, Calcasieu Women’s Shelter, Harbour House ETC, and Evergreen Presbyterian Ministry). Fabulous Friday is held the second or third Friday of the month. 10:00 a.m. – Study from the Horizons bible study in the Richardson Room. 11:30 a.m. – Light lunch served 12:30 p.m. – Sewing group meets in the Wright building The website calendar lists the monthly Fabulous Friday dates. |
